Mobility & Acccessibility
KZEN SME allows users to remotely monitor and manage data via a Web-based system. You can choose to install your KZEN SME server on a Internet accessible machine to enable you to access your data from anywhere in the world!
While maximizing mobility and accessibility, we do NOT sacrifice security. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is supported to provides secure channel if you want to connect to your KZEN SME securely, and you can fine-grain control your user(s) access to data using well-defined Access Control List (ACL) for User and User Group. Cross Platform Support
KZEN SME (both Client and Server) is capable to run in different Operating Systems and different Web Browsers environment. The KZEN SME Server can runs in variants version of Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7), Linux, Unix and Mac etc.. As for client, different Web Browser like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome etc. can be used to connect to KZEN SME Server. This capability come from the power of two most popular cross-platform runtime in the industry - Flash Player for the Client runtime and Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 for the Server Runtime. Both runtimes provide abstraction layer to the underlying Operating Systems and Web Browsers thus enabling KZEN SME to behave the same regardless of different platforms.
Robust N-Tier Architecture
KZEN SME is built using robust N-Tier Architecture, which has become the de facto blueprint architecture for modern enterprise applications. This provides KZEN SME the solid foundation to grow horizontally and vertically.
Easy Installation & Maintenance
Different from most of Web-based system, running on robust enterprise ready platform does NOT make KZEN SME hard to install and maintain. For Microsoft Windows based system, KZEN SME has an automated installer that help you to setup everything, including the Web and Database Server. Installer for All Platform (e.g. for installing under Linux, Unix, Mac etc.) is also available, which user can just download, extract and executing scripts to start/stop KZEN SME server processes or install them as daemon processes.
